Session 1: What If There’s More to Life Than This?

Hey everyone, and welcome. Let me start with a simple question: What if there’s more to life than this? From the time we’re young, we’re basically handed a formula. Do well in school, get a good job, make money, find someone you love, travel, have fun, maybe build a family, and hopefully you’ll be happy. There’s nothing wrong with any of those things. But here’s the strange part: you can have friends and still feel lonely. You can have thousands of followers and still wonder if anyone really knows you. You can finally accomplish something you’ve wanted for years and a week later find yourself asking, “Okay, what’s next?”

Maybe the bigger question isn’t, “How do I become successful?” Maybe it’s “What am I actually here for?” And that brings us to someone you may never have seriously considered: Jesus. Before you click away, I’m not asking you to suddenly become religious, start going to church, or pretend you believe something you don’t. I’m simply asking you to be curious. Jesus asked an incredible question nearly 2,000 years ago: “What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?” — Mark 8:36. Think about that. What if you got everything you think you want—the money, career, relationship, followers, house, and experiences? Would it finally be enough?

Jesus wasn’t saying those things are bad. He was saying there’s something bigger: your soul, your purpose, who you’re becoming, your relationship with God, and where your life is ultimately leading. Maybe you’ve never opened a Bible. Maybe you grew up Christian and walked away. Maybe you’re not even sure God exists. That’s okay. Over these 15 short videos, we’re going to explore some of life’s biggest questions and what Jesus actually had to say about them.

So here’s your challenge today. Put your phone down for one minute and honestly ask yourself: “What am I really living for?” Then try one simple prayer: “God, if You’re really there, help me find You.” You don’t need fancy words, and you don’t need to be certain anyone is listening. Just be open to the possibility. Because maybe the reason you’re searching for something more is because you were created for something more. Next time, we’ll ask another important question: Who are you when nobody’s watching?
