✨ Your Journey With God ✨

Welcome to Session 1 of OCIA Kids! Today we're going to talk about life, faith, and why God matters. Life is a lot like a journey. Sometimes it is fun and exciting, and other times it can be confusing or difficult. The good news is that God never wants us to travel through life alone. Faith means trusting that God is always with us, helping us, guiding us, and loving us. You do not have to be perfect for God to love you. You do not need to know every prayer or Bible story. God simply wants you to know Him and trust Him.

Many people think happiness comes from having more things, being popular, or getting lots of attention. But Jesus taught that the things that matter most are love, kindness, forgiveness, courage, friendship, and helping others. Faith is like having a strong connection to God. We build that connection through prayer, going to church, learning about God, and treating people with love and respect.

The Church is more than just a building. It is a family of people who are trying to follow Jesus together. Everyone is different, and nobody is perfect, but God loves each person and brings us together. When you go to Mass, remember that you are part of something much bigger than yourself. You are part of God's family.

One amazing thing to remember is that Jesus knows you personally. He knows your name, your dreams, your worries, and the things that make you happy. He loves you and wants to help you become the best person you can be.

This week, try saying a simple prayer every day, even if it is only a few words. Do something kind for another person without expecting a reward. And when you go to church, pay attention and remember that God is there with you. Your journey with God is just beginning, and it can become the greatest adventure of your life.
