Influencers, Celebrities, and Leaders must Speak About God Now!

In a world saturated with voices, on stages, on screens, on social media, there is one voice that must be heard again in our nation: the voice of God. And the people most capable of echoing that voice are not just clergy or theologians. They are you, the actors, musicians, influencers, athletes, politicians, and public figures who shape the culture, set the tone, and carry immense influence over millions of souls.

It’s time. Time to speak the name of Jesus Christ, to lead the way back to faith, and to revive the soul of a nation drifting dangerously into spiritual silence.

A Nation Without God Is a Nation at Risk

America was built on the belief that “we are endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights.” Yet today, faith is fading from public life. Church attendance has dropped sharply; belief in God is down to 81% according to Gallup, the lowest in U.S. history. Our culture is flooded with division, depression, identity confusion, and violence. Why? Because we’ve removed the cornerstone.

Psalm 127:1 reminds us: “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.” Without God at the center, even our most glamorous successes will crumble.

The Power of Influence - and Responsibility

Actors and influencers aren’t just entertainers anymore, they’re trendsetters, value-shapers, role models, and in many ways, cultural prophets. If you have a following, you have a ministry, whether you realize it or not. And like the parable of the talents (Matthew 25:14–30), you will be held accountable for what you do with your platform.

“From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded.” - Luke 12:48.  So why not use your voice to speak eternal truth? Why not help people find their way home?

Who’s Already Doing It

Fortunately, a few brave voices are already lighting the way:

  • Mark Wahlberg publicly promotes Catholic prayer apps and shares his faith without shame.

  • Chris Pratt speaks openly about Jesus, prayer, and the Bible in Hollywood interviews.

  • Jonathan Roumie, who plays Jesus in The Chosen, leads prayer lives publicly and speaks boldly about the Catholic faith.

  • Jim Caviezel, despite career backlash, defends the sanctity of life and the truth of Christ.

  • Russell Brand, once a secular icon, is now exploring Christianity and encouraging spiritual awakening.

  • Eduardo Verástegui, actor and producer, uses his platform for evangelization and pro-life causes.

But we need more. Much more.

What Celebrities and Leaders Should Do

  1. Speak God’s Name publicly and often, not as a trend, but as a witness.

  2. Use your platforms to share Scripture, Catholic teachings, or testimonies.

  3. Support faith-based projects that promote truth and virtue.

  4. Collaborate with ministries and Christian creatives to elevate content that feeds the soul.

  5. Live authentically. be a model of moral courage in an industry filled with compromise.

“Do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord.” - 2 Timothy 1:8

What We Can Do to Help

  • Pray for public figures by name - that they have courage to speak about God.

  • Support their efforts when they do speak up - comment, share, uplift.

  • Tag them in posts that inspire faith or challenge them with love to share theirs.

  • Write open letters or campaigns encouraging influencers to take a public stand for Christ.

  • Invite them to events, podcasts, or interviews where faith can be naturally discussed.

A Movement of Light

Pope Leo XIV recently warned that we are facing “a society drifting away from Christ into darkness.” But he also said, “The world needs His light. Humanity needs Him as the bridge to reach God and His love.” The Church cannot restore this light alone. We need culture-makers, those who hold the cameras, microphones, and spotlights - to turn them toward heaven.

So, if you're reading this and you're an actor, singer, CEO, YouTuber, or politician: the world is listening. Use your voice. Speak of Him. The Gospel needs a microphone. You’ve already got one. Let us all say together:

“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” - Joshua 24:15

And may our voices rise to heaven… until the whole world remembers His name.
