How to Know if You’re in a Healthy Relationship
Dating can be exciting, emotional, and a little confusing - especially when you’re trying to live out your Catholic faith in a culture that often gets love completely wrong. You might ask yourself: Is this relationship good for me? Is this real love? Or am I just caught up in the moment?

Not every relationship helps you become who God created you to be. Some can lift you toward holiness. Others can slowly pull you away from peace, purpose, and even your identity.
Signs of a healthy, God-centered relationship:
You both seek virtue.
You communicate openly and respectfully.
You set and respect boundaries.
You’re growing, not shrinking.
You include God in your relationship.
Red flags to watch for:
Constant drama or jealousy
Being isolated from your friends or family
Feeling pressured sexually
Disrespectful language or controlling behavior
Hiding the relationship from people who care about you
Remember: dating is not about finding someone who completes you. That’s a job only God can do. Dating is about finding someone who walks with you toward Heaven.
Don’t settle for a relationship that feels good for a moment but leads you away from peace. You were made for more. And if you’ve made mistakes in past relationships, God’s mercy lets you start again.
The goal isn’t just to fall in love. It’s to build a love that reflects Christ.
