How God Showed Up When I Was at My Lowest
There was a season in my life when everything seemed to collapse at once. Not just one area, but everything. Relationships felt strained. Finances were stressful. My future felt unclear. I prayed, but the silence was loud. I went to church, smiled, and told people I was “fine,” but inside I was exhausted and questioning everything. Maybe you know that feeling. The nights when you stare at the ceiling asking God why. The mornings when getting out of bed feels like a victory. The moments when you wonder if God even hears you anymore. King David felt this too. He cried out, “How long, Lord? Will you forget me forever?” (Psalm 13:1). Even the strongest believers experience seasons of doubt. Faith does not mean we never struggle. It means we keep seeking God even when we do.
God Was Working in the Silence
Looking back now, I realize God was never silent. He was working quietly behind the scenes. He placed the right people in my life at the exact moments I needed encouragement. He closed doors I begged Him to open, and later I understood those doors would have led me away from His plan. Scripture reminds us, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18). I felt crushed, but I was never abandoned.
When Pain Becomes Purpose
Sometimes God removes what we think we need to show us what we truly need - Him. The pain I walked through changed me. It softened my heart and taught me compassion. It taught me how to pray with real desperation instead of routine words. Romans 8:28 says, “In all things God works for the good of those who love Him.” Not some things. All things. Even heartbreak. Even disappointment. Even seasons we do not understand.
God Never Left My Side
God did not waste a single tear. Every struggle shaped me into someone stronger, wiser, and more dependent on Him. There were nights I felt completely alone, but God never left my side. "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5). Even when my faith felt weak, His love stayed strong. Even when I doubted Him, He never doubted me.
Your Low Point Is Not the End
I learned something powerful during that season. God does His best work in our weakest moments. When we have nothing left, He becomes everything.
If you are in a dark season right now, please hear this - your story is not over. God is not finished. What feels like a breakdown is often a breakthrough in disguise. “Weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning” (Psalm 30:5).
A Message Worth Sharing
One day you will look back and see how God carried you through what you thought would destroy you. You will see how He protected you, prepared you, and positioned you for something greater. Someone you know is quietly struggling. Someone feels forgotten. Someone is praying for a sign. Share this with them and remind them that God still shows up - especially at rock bottom.
Your lowest season may become your strongest testimony.
