Fog Harbor Fish House is your local PIER 39 restaurant offering the quintessential San Francisco waterfront dining experience. Take in award-winning views of the San Francisco Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge while enjoying complimentary sourdough bread baked in-house every hour, and dining on the freshest sustainable seafood and meats available. Created by the family who developed PIER 39, our history spans over three decades and includes three generations. Family owned and operated, you can expect to meet members of the Simmons family in our dining room. Fog Harbor is proud to be the first restaurant in Fisherman’s Wharf to serve 100% sustainable seafood.

We are committed to the preservation of the ocean and its fisheries. Fog Harbor is proud to be the first restaurant on Fisherman’s Wharf to offer a 100% sustainable seafood menu based on recommendations from the Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Seafood Watch Program and Aquarium of the Bay.

For over 40 years, Simmons Family Restaurants have been part of San Francisco. They’ve created and developed a broad range of Bay Area restaurants and destinations, including San Francisco’s PIER 39. SIMCO restaurants continue to make strides in helping the environment, each of which they are incredibly proud of. They made numerous menu changes to meet the Seafood Watch partnership. With a focus on protecting the oceans, SIMCO switched from using plastic to paper straws in 2017. Since their switch to paper straws, PIER 39 has also started a PIER wide goal to “Skip the Straw”.As of June 2018, SIMCO restaurants are proud to be San Francisco Green Businesses. In becoming a Green Business, they re-evaluated their methods on what it means to be sustainable. Through a strict process, SIMCO focused on their sustainable disposing approaches. SIMCO has been composting food waste since mid 2005, and felt the need to better their green practices.SIMCO values the environment and all that it offers. Dedicated to protecting the environment, they therefore strive to meet the highest environmental standards. As a top priority, SIMCO is committed to environmental sustainability and making further connections to communities that share their values.

After reading all of the reviews of this restaurant. We've decided to give it a try! We loved everything that we ordered and especially the crab and scallop rihallow. It's the best I ever had. Clam chowder is a must try; crab cake and fresh oyster for appetizer. We skipped the bread bowl for clam chowder just so we can have room for the other stuff! Lol! Will definitely come back for more fun! Great view of the Alcatraz and Golden Gate Bridge from our table.
