VISIONS is built on the assumption that the business of health is like legal advice, accounting, graphic arts, and other bodies of knowledge, in that it is not inherently a do-it-yourself prospect. Smart business people understand that a healthy and safe work-force is profitable. They need to find quality training from a firm with a reliable reputation, integrity, service, and support. They need to use these firms as they use their other professional service suppliers, as trusted allies.
VISIONS is such a firm. It serves its clients as a trusted ally, providing them with the loyalty of a business partner, and the economics of an outside firm. We make sure that our clients have the training they need to maintain a safe and healthy work place. All of our training is mission critical, so we give our clients the assurance that what we train will be based on the latest techniques available, and that we will be there when they need us for updates or additional training.
In service and support, we offer a range of services: Standard First Aid; First Aid - Responding to Emergencies; Community First Aid and Safety; Heartsaver CPR for non-medical personnel, Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers CPR, AED Training and Pet CPR. We’ve added our Emergency Medical Technician – Basic (EMT-Basic) classes to our curriculum, and have taught three in-house classes and two classes at local high schools. We have added the Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and the Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) courses which target our multi-faceted established medical communities.
Our goal is to ultimately offer the local radio stations a regular talk show on health issues for family members of aging parents or whose parents are in nursing homes but are allowed at-home stays, as an example.
We must remain on top of the new information and technology, because that is our bread and butter. For networking, we have joined organizations such as the Small Business Administration. As critical mass of clientele and medical providers is achieved, cost benefit is attained and administrative functions and services are consolidated in economies of scale. At that point of critical mass, when approximately 5,000 cumulative clients are trained per year, VISIONS CPR, First Aid and EMT Training Site will have the option to become an American Heart Association Training Center.
Our location on the northwest side of San Antonio near Lackland Air Force Base provides us with a strategic location since we are the only training site on that side of San Antonio, the next site being almost seven (7) miles away. Growing housing development, opening of new schools and daycares, and establishment of a new hospital and multiple clinics, puts us in the right place at the right time.
