Are you looking for a Floyd, VA Magazine? Entrepreneur Luis Garcia thought of Floyd Virginia Magazine while designing websites for small businesses in the county. He pitched the idea to a few friends before partnering with the LCF Group. They wanted to create a publication that featured and helped promote rural hard to find businesses as well as the staples in the county. The three primary partners; LCF Group, Robert Cluxton and Luis Garcia all had one thing in common, they wanted to publish a high quality, color and lifestyle magazine about Floyd Virginia. When just such an opportunity presented itself, they pursued it whole heartedly.
Through their relentless efforts Floyd Virginia publication, the bi annual magazine, premiere issue was published on April 20th, 2008. The first of 15,000 copies were circulating in the county soon after. The comprehensive guide highlights the best things to do and see in Floyd County. They wanted to feature upcoming events, cool places and give small merchants and galleries an opportunity to advertise in full color. Floyd Virginia is a glossy, upscale lifestyle magazine that has been a big hit in the county and surrounding areas. Theyve circulation roughly 70,000 copies between the first three issues including nearly 14,000 magazines in Franklin County alone.
The LCF Group latest effort, FloydCountyVirginia.org and LCFarticles.com feature many of Floyds best merchants and their stories. Its another place where local merchants can sign up to have their products and services displayed on the site.
