To achieve that goal, Russ Patzer and Joe Messner started Sun Valley Solar Solutions in 2005 to design and install solar electric systems for residential and commercial customers. Russ and Joe utilized their experience as engineers skilled in system design and system performance to develop a set of standards for installations. This means each customer gets the same result, every time, with quality assurance checks throughout.
All of our systems are installed by professional tradespeople with a minimum of 80 hours of training. In addition, co-owner Joe Messner has earned NABCEP PV-installer certification. This voluntary certification from the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners is a complex and time-consuming process; the NABCEP has only granted certification to about 30 other solar installers in Arizona.
