Valley Village is a 501(c) 3 formed in 1971 by parents whose only common denominator was that they had a child with a developmental disability. Valley Village is committed to improving the quality of life for people with developmental disabilities in the San Fernando Valley. Our mission is to protect, foster, and advance the rights and interests of people with developmental disabilities.
Valley Village serves the medical, psychological, and training needs of over 300 people with developmental disabilities such as autism, Down syndrome and epilepsy, cerebral palsy and other forms of mental retardation in our 20 facilities in the San Fernando Valley. Our programs serve children and adults through
• residential programs,
• semi-independent living programs,
• a skilled nursing facility,
• after school programs,
• adult development center,
• behavior management,
• day health care center,
• Saturday recreational program, and
• participant vacation opportunities.
Valley Village is licensed through the California Department of Health Services and is certified with the California Department of Aging.
