Anyone who has been involved with BNI has heard this term "Dance Card" before.
A "Dance Card" is a way to get to know others and to build your sphere of influence. By doing so, a member will make & establish stronger relationships and will have more success networking with other Smart Guy members.
Start with a phone call to introduce yourself to other Smart Guy members. Suggest meeting those you seem to connect with during that conversation so you can spend time on a 1 on 1 basis with them in order to get to know each other better & develop a more detailed understanding of one another's business.
"Dance Card" sessions are an essential part of the relationship building process and are most effective when carried out at another member's office or place of work.
It's critical to understand you are not there to promote your product or service but to find out about the other person's business in order to help find them referrals.
When you refer business to others they will automatically have you on their radar and they will refer you & your business when the opportunity arises.
